HERE’S MY STORY OF HOW I WENT FROM TEACHER TO TEACHERPRENEUR
I’m just a girl with a DREAM ⭐️
Ever feel like there is something missing or you have these ideas but feel like it could never happen?
That’s where I was 4 years ago!
I was prepping for my 11th year of teaching. I was a kindergarten teacher working in a low-income, low-performing school with extremely high demands. I had been running my online business for 3 years at the time.
I loved teaching kindergarten and loved the people I worked with. I thought I would teach until I retired but I had this pit in my stomach that there was something more for me. I knew I loved creating but I also loved teaching so I was stuck in the middle. I had to decide if I would continue with the teaching or pursue a dream that I had no idea where it would take me.
FOLLOW YOUR HEART…
I followed my heart and put my faith in God to guide me and I knew that I needed to take the leap of faith, work hard and follow this feeling that I had deep down in my heart. I had comfort in knowing that I had a license to teach in Massachusetts and Rhode Island if I felt like I had made a mistake I could return back to teaching.
Last week, as I stood in front of the castle at the Magic Kingdom all these thoughts came to me. I felt grateful for the life I live and happy for the opportunity to create this dream that lives in my heart.
HOW DID I GET HERE…
I thought how did I get here? I know it was hard work and persistence but there was more to it! As a classroom teacher, I loved organization, routine, systems for EVERYTHING! I mean I planned out my entire year during the summer, I had everything prepped a month in advance. I mean it was AMAZING!
Now, as a business owner doing all the things running Sabrina Dias and Company and the sign business Dias Designs with my husband I realize that not much has changed. I still have a routine, organization, systems and processes for EVERYTHING!
Who knew that my career as a teacher was prepping me for something more!
Whatever dream you have in your heart pursue it! You’ll never know if it will work unless you try.
